The latest instalment of Karan Johar’s celebrity-packed chat show lands on Disney+ today
New Indian content drops also include Emmy-nominated crime thriller Aarya, legal drama Criminal Justice and Malayalam blockbusters Bheeshma Parvam and Hridayam
Take a seat, it’s Koffee time now that Season 7 of popular talk show Koffee with Karan has landed on Disney+.
Catch all the celebrity gossip and controversy courtesy of Bollywood’s favourite director-host, Karan Johar, as some of India’s biggest stars, including Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon, get chatty, catty and competitive to win the coveted Koffee Hamper.
Koffee with Karan joins an exciting line-up of new content from India on Disney+ that includes the Emmy-nominated series Aarya and three seasons of the critically acclaimed Criminal Justice as well as blockbuster movies Bheeshma Parvam, Hridayam and Cuttputlli.
Starring Sushmita Sen, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vir Das, Aarya is the official remake of the popular Dutch crime drama 'Penoza'. It revolves around Aarya Sareen (Sen), a caring mother and wife, whose world is upended when her pharma baron husband is killed. Criminal Justice follows the journey of Aditya Sharma, portrayed by Vikrant Massey in an award-winning turn, a cab driver falsely accused of murder. Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, starring Bollywood star Ajay Devgn as brilliant super-cop Rudra Veer Singh, and comedy series Home Shanti also join the new series line-up on Disney+.
For Indian movie fans, a slew of acclaimed cross-genre Malayalam hits also premiere on Disney+ today – Mammootty-led Bheeshma Parvam is a revenge and action thriller set in the ‘80s; romantic coming-of-age drama Hridayam chronicles the emotional journey of Arun (played by Pranav Mohanlal) as he matures through various stages of life, and family dramedy Bro Daddy, starring South Indian stars Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran, showcases the inter-generational dynamics of a Kerala family.
Three Akshay Kumar-led Hindi movies also join the line-up: psychological crime thriller Cuttputlli, where he plays a small-town, rookie cop hot on the trail of a serial killer targeting teenage schoolgirls, Atrangi Re, a romantic fantasy drama in which he teams up with Tamil-star Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan, and Laxmii, a horror comedy co-starring Kiara Advani. They join another horror-comedy Bhoot Police and war drama Bhuj in the new releases list.

The new releases join an expanding roster of content from South Asia, which includes the record-breaking Brahmastra Part One: Shiva. The latest content features four Indian languages: Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. All titles will be available in their original language with subtitles in English. Plus, subject to availability, some content will also feature subtitles in additional languages, with dubbing options as well.
